What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION (SPECIAL EVENTS) ACT 1994

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – (AS AMENDED)

LICHFIELD 10K 2026 – VARIOUS ROADS IN THE COUNTY OF STAFFORDSHIRE

Notice is hereby given that the Staffordshire County Council will make an Order on the 8/9/26 the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in those roads in the District of Lichfield that comprise the route of the Lichfield 10K running event as summarised below. Any vehicle being used in connection with the event; or being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purpose will be exempt from the restrictions contained in the Order.

The restrictions are necessary to maintain the safety of all participants and road users. No alternative routes are advised for affected traffic as the restrictions will only be effective for so long as is necessary for the participants to pass.

The Order will not at any time prevent access of pedestrians to properties situated on or adjacent to any road to which the order relates or to any properties only accessible to pedestrians from such a road.

Roads in the District of Lichfield covered the order are as follows:

A51 Western Bypass, Cross in Hand Lane, Farewell Lane, Lodge Lane, Shute Hitll, Ford Lane, Dark Lane, Abnalls Lane, Cycleway from Bird Street to A51 Western Bypass.

IT IS ANTICIPATED THAT THE ROADS WILL BE CLOSED FROM 09:00 HOURS. THE ROAD WILL RE-OPEN ONCE THE EVENT HAS CONCLUDED WHICH IS ANTICIPATED TO BE BY 13:00 HOURS.

The Order will come into operation on 13/9/26 and will remain in force until the event has concluded. The event is being organised by Lichfield Running Club.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 –

TEMPORARY 40MPH SPEED LIMIT REDUCTION

Notice is hereby given that Staffordshire County Council on 8/9/26 made an Order the effect of which is to temporarily reduce the speed limit to 40mph along:

Gorse Ln, Fradley. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=GB151511004. The Order will come into operation on 16/9/26 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed the same day. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the pole renewal works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

STAFFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL A5127 –

40 MPH SPEED LIMIT ORDER 2026

Staffordshire County Council on 8/9/26 made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that imposed a 40mph speed limit on:

A5127 Birmingham Road, Wall. This Order will revoke that part of The Staffordshire County Council (50MPH Speed Limit) (Birmingham Road A5127, Wall) Order 2001 insofar as it relates to this Order. Documents may be examined during office hours at Staffordshire Place 1, Tipping Street, Stafford, ST16 2DH and during opening hours at Lichfield Library, The Guild of St Mary’s Centre, Market Square, Lichfield or email: trafficandnetwork@staffordshire.gov.uk quoting reference D5967P. Persons questioning the validity or provisions of the Order on the grounds that such powers are not conferred by the Act, or that any requirement or instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, may within 6 weeks from the date the Order was made apply to the High Court. The Order will commence on 27/10/2026.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 –

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC

Notice is hereby given that Staffordshire County Council on 8/9/26 made an Order the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit traffic along:

London Rd, Lichfield. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=GB151633255. The Order will come into operation daily 19:00hrs to 06:00hrs on 15/9/26 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 24/9/26. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the resurfacing works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier

Fosseway Ln, Lichfield. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=GB151388308. The Order will come into operation on 15/9/26 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed the same day. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the overhead cabling works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Dumore Hay Ln, The Moor & Church Ln, Fradley. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=GB151504953. The Order will come into operation on 16/9/26 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 18/9/26. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the pole and duct installation works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Newlands Ln, Newlands. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=GB151287698. The Order will come into operation on 14/9/26 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 25/9/26. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the asset maintenance works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Washbrook Ln, Cannock. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=GB151242478. The Order will come into operation on 14/9/26 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 15/9/26. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the National Highways works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Notice is hereby given that Staffordshire County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit traffic along:

Power Station Rd, Rugeley. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=GB151976106. The Order will come into operation on 30/9/26 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed by 2/10/26. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the Survey works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier. Knowle Ln, Lichfield. For more information regarding access arrangements, timings and diversion routes please visit https://one.network/?tm=GB151152394. The Order will come into operation on 30/9/26 and the said works will commence on or as near as practicable to that date. It is anticipated the works will be completed the same day. The Order will remain in force for a period of 18 months or until the pole testing works, which it is proposed to carry out on or near the road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
