TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE (PRINCE OF WALES TERRACE & VICTORIA ROAD) 2026
The Council of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea give notice that they have made a Temporary Traffic Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Schedule 1 Section 14 (1)(a) and all other enabling powers prohibiting motorised vehicles from proceeding or waiting in roads cited below.
Prince of Wales Terrace to be closed at the junction of the Kensington Road.
• Diverted through traffic to use Kensington Road, Victoria
Road and Prince of Wales Terrace.
Victoria Road to be closed at the junction of the Kensington
Road.
• Diverted through traffic to use Kensington Road, Prince of Wales Terrace, and Victoria Road.
Only one road junction will be closed at a time.
The junctions are to be closed to vehicles for utility works.
The restrictions will come into force from 08.00hrs on Saturday 19th September 2026 until 18.00hrs on Sunday 20th September 2026, with backup dates of Saturday 26th September 2026 until Sunday 27 th September 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Access will be maintained for residents and occupiers.
Nothing in this Order shall apply to:
• anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform.
• anything done in connection with the execution of said works.
