(WOMERSLEY ROAD, KNOTTINGLEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 264) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to repair defects on railway network to be carried out as follows:
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Womersley Road, Knottingley. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Womersley Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Womersley Road, Spawd Bone Lane, Headlands Lane, Hill Top, Weeland Road & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 12th September 2026 to 13th September 2026 between 00.01 hours to 08.50 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(WESTFIELD AVENUE, PONTEFRACT)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 278) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for new electrical connection & fuse upgrade, to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Westfield Avenue, Pontefract for approximately 30 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Westfield Avenue.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 1st October 2026 to 7th October 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible. Dated this 10th day of September 2026

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 279) 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for new electrical connection & fuse upgrade, to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Crowther Street, Castleford for approximately 25 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Crowther Street.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 30th September 2026 to 6th October 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
