(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that North Northamptonshire Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Addington Road, Wellingborough as set out below.
LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Addington Road, Wellingborough from no.25 and Brook Terrace.
REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during the laying of new ducting.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 21st September 2026 and will continue in force for a period of 18 months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such an extent as is indicated by the display of signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
EXPECTED DURATION: It is expected that the road will be restricted for up to 3 days.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: use A6 and Station Road.

(COBBS LANE, WELLINGBOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that North Northamptonshire Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Cobbs Lane, Wellingborough as set out below.
LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Cobbs Lane, Wellingborough from Manchester Road to Priory Road.
REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during manhole maintenance.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 22nd September 2026 and will continue in force for a period of 18 months. (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that North Northamptonshire Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Ewanfield Road, Finedon as set out below.
LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Ewanfield Road, Finedon from outside no.1 to outside no.6.
REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during new water connection works.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 22nd September 2026 and will continue in force for a period of 18 months. (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that North Northamptonshire Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Corby Road, Islip as set out below.
LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of Corby Road, Islip from Kettering Road to A14 junction west bound slip (including the roundabout).
REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during carriageway coring.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 24th September 2026 and will continue in force for a period of 18 months. (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that North Northamptonshire Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit traffic from proceeding along those lengths of the various roads in Great Addington Woodford and Ringstead as specified in the Schedule below.
REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during carriageway/coring.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The proposed Order will come into effect on 30th September 2026 and will continue in force for a period of 18 months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for the Order to be extended if this proves necessary. ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14
(PUBLIC BRIDLEWAY TC13 – EARLS BARTON)
(TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that North Northamptonshire Council have made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit pedestrians, equestrians and cyclists from proceeding along that length of Public Bridleway TC13 in Earls Barton as specified below. Private access to land or premises adjacent to the said length of bridleway are unaffected.
RIGHT OF WAY TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: The route to be closed starts on Bridleway TC13 in the parish of Earls Barton at point A on the map at National Grid Reference (NGR) SP484666/261888. The route travels South for approximately 391 metres to Point B on the map at (NGR) SP 484666/261888.
The route to be closed is shown by a solid black line on the map between points A – B.
REASONS FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required in the interest of health and safety as the bridleway bridge is unsafe and it requires remedial works to make it safe.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: The Order will come into effect on 15th September 2026 and will continue in force for a period of six months. An application may be made for the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport for this Order to be extended if this proves necessary. However, the restriction specified will have effect only at such times and to such extent as is indicated by the display of notices.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that North Northamptonshire Council have made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit traffic from proceeding along that length of Furnace Lane, Little Harrowden as set out below.
LENGTH OF ROAD TO WHICH RESTRICTION APPLIES: That length of

REASON FOR RESTRICTION: The restriction is required for safety during a railway bridge inspection.
