(ST JOHNS GROVE, WAKEFIELD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 265) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for new electrical connection, Northern Powergrid to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: St Johns Grove, Wakefield, one way. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of St Johns Grove.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 15th September 2026 to 21st September 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(PARK SQUARE, OSSETT)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 266) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds to renew stop tap and chamber water supply to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Park Square, Ossett, outside number 19. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Park Square.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Manor Road, Station Road, Park Square & vice versa.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for BT pole testing to be carried out as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Chevet Lane, Notton near Monckton Manor. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Chevet Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Haw Park Lane, Cold Hiendley Common Lane, Navvy Lane, Notton Lane & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 14th September 2026 between 09.30 hours to 15.30 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for new electrical connection & fuse upgrade, Northern Powergrid to be carried out as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Cleevethorpe Grove, Wakefield, for approximately 25 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Cleevethorpe Grove.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 17th September 2026 to 23rd September 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 269) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for carriageway resurfacing to be carried out as follows:

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Brunel Road, Wakefield, full length. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Brunel Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 14th September 2026 to 23rd September 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(AGBRIGG ROAD, WAKEFIELD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 276) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for works to demolish and reconstruct the railway bridge to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Agbrigg Road, Wakefield. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Agbrigg Road.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Carriageway closure diversion – Barnsley Road, Wakefield Bridge, Ings Road to Denby Dale Road roundabout then back down Ings Road, Wakefield Bridge, Doncaster Road, Agbrigg Road & vice versa. Pedestrian diversion – Barnsley Road, Sparable Lane, Belle Vue Road, Agbrigg Road & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 26th September 2026 to 31st January 2027 taking place Saturday nights 22.00 hours to Sunday mornings 08.00 hours apart from 22nd December 2026 to 28th December 2026 during which the closure will be continuous. No access for emergency vehicles or utility vehicles at these times, The footway will be closed 07.00 hours on 22nd December 2026 to 07.00 hours on 28th December 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(FAIRWAY DRIVE, NORMANTON)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 277) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for new electrical connection & fuse upgrade, to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Fairway Drive, Normanton for approximately 25 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Fairway Drive.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A. PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 30th September 2026 to 6th October 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(WOODTHORPE LANE, WAKEFIELD)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 280) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for new electrical connection & fuse upgrade, to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Woodthorpe Lane, Wakefield for approximately 60 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Woodthorpe Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Barnsley Road, Woodland Drive, Pledwick Lane, Woodthorpe Lane & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 1st October 2026 to 7th October 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(FOOTPATH 5, RYHILL)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER (NO 281) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield by reason of works to allow for installation of new box culvert for Yorkshire Water  to be carried out on or near Footpath 5, Ryhill, and the likelihood of danger arising to the public, intend not less than 7 days from the date of this notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of public footpath.

Alternative route for pedestrians:  via an adjacent field towards Crown Farm then back to Station Road.

The order comes into operation on 1st October 2026 to 1st April 2027.

(HESSLE LANE, HESSLE)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 282) 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to replace clean water main & transfer services to be carried out as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Hessle Lane, Hessle from Hessle Farm for approximately 450 metres towards Went Lane. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Hessle Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Hessle Lane, Hessle Common Lane, Doncaster Road, Went Lane & vice versa.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 28th September 2026 to 18th October 2026, 08.00 hours to 18.00 hours or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
