TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE (KENSINGTON COURT) 2026
The Council of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea give notice that they intend to make a Temporary Traffic Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Schedule 1 Section 14 (1)(a) and all other enabling powers prohibiting motorised vehicles from proceeding or waiting in roads cited below.
Kensington Court egress to be closed at the junction of the Kensington Road.
The road is to be closed to vehicles for utility works.
The restrictions will come into force from 08.00hrs until 19.00hrs on Thursday 24th September 2026, with a backup date of Thursday 1st October 2026or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Diverted through traffic may use Kensington Court, Thackeray Street, Kensington Square, Kensington High Street, Kensington Road.
Access will be maintained for residents and occupiers.
Nothing in this Order shall apply to:
• anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform.
• anything done in connection with the execution of said works.
