THE ROYAL BOROUGH OF KENSINGTON AND CHELSEA

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE (DE VERE GARDENS) 2026

The Council of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea give notice that they intend to make a Temporary Traffic Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Schedule 1 Section 14 (1)(a) and all other enabling powers prohibiting motorised vehicles from proceeding or waiting in roads cited below.

De Vere Gardens access to be closed at the junction of Kensington Road.

The road is to be closed to vehicles for utility works.

The restrictions will come into force from 08.00hrs until 19.00hrs on Monday 28th September 2026 with a backup date of Monday 5th October 2026, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.

Diverted through traffic may use Kensington Road, Palace Gate, Canning Place, De Vere Gardens, or Kensington Road, Victoria Road, St Alban’s Grove, Canning Place, De Vere Gardens

The One-way working of Canning Place is to be suspended for the duration of the road closure.

Access will be maintained for residents and occupiers.

Nothing in this Order shall apply to:

• anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform.

• anything done in connection with the execution of said works.
