TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FOOTPATH WATFORD RURAL 005

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians from using that length of Footpath Watford Rural 005, from The Pathway to junction with footpath 6, for an approximate distance of 120m.

Alternative Route: on footpaths 7 and 8 to the south.

The purpose of the Order is to enable bridge works to take place.

The section of Footpath Watford Rural 005 will be closed on or after 25 August 2026 for up to 6 months, when signs are in place.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE CYCLE LANE SITUATED ON THE EAST SIDE OF A412 ST ALBANS ROAD, WATFORD) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedal cycles from using the cycle lane situated on the east side of A412 St Albans Road, Watford from a point in line with the southern boundary of No.142 St Albans Road southwards to its junction with the access road leading to ‘Hille Business Centre’, a distance of approximately 31m (“the Cycle Lane”). Pedal cyclists will need to dismount and use the adjacent footway.

The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing advertising panel is proposed to be executed near the Cycle Lane.

The Order will come into effect from 28 September 2026 and will be valid for a period of 6 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 nights to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Cycle Lane.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE FOOTPATH SITUATED ON THE NORTH EAST SIDE OF NO.26 NOTTINGHAM CLOSE, WATFORD) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the footpath situated on the north east side of No.26 Nottingham Close, Watford from a point in line with the north west side of No.26 Nottingham Close south eastwards for a distance of approximately 25m (“the Footpath”).

There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpath.

The Order will come into effect from 28 September 2026 and will be valid for a period of 6 months. The works are scheduled to take 3 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Footpath.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of The Garth, Abbots Langley from its junction with Upper Highway north eastwards for a distance of approximately 87m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Upper Highway, Long Elms and The Garth.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Sarratt Road, Sarratt from a point 371m north west of its junction with Little Green Lane south eastwards for a distance of approximately 80m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Sarratt Road, Solesbridge Lane, A404 (Rickmansworth Road/Chorleywood Road), A412 (Park Road/Scots Hill), The Green and Sarratt Road.

The Order is needed because water service connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 26 September 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 2 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A41 Elton Way, Bushey from a point 148m south east of its junction with the B462 Hartspring Lane roundabout south eastwards for a distance of approximately 52m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via A41 (Elton Way/North Western Avenue), A4008 Stephenson Way, A411 (Waterfields Way/Lower High Street/Chalk Hill/London Road/High Street/Sparrows Herne/Elstree Way) and A41 Tylers Way/Elton Way, or via A41 (Elton Way/Tylers Way), A411 (Elstree Way/Sparrows Herne/High Street/London Road/Chalk Hill), A4008 (Aldenham Road/Pinner Road), A411 (Lower High Street/Dalton Way/Waterfields Way/Beechen Grove/Exchange Road/Beechen Grove), A412 St Albans Road and A41 (North Western Avenue/North Western Avenue Colne Way/Otterspool Way/Elton Way).

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 26 September 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

An alternative route will be via B5378 (Shenley Road/Allum Lane), A5183 (Watling Street/Cobden Hill/Watling Street), B556 Harper Lane and B5378 (Shenleybury/Black Lion Lane/London Road/Woodhall Lane/Green Street/Cowley Hill).

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A411 Chalk Hill, Watford and A411 (London Road/High Street/Sparrows Herne), Bushey from its junction with B462 Aldenham Road south eastwards to its junction with A411 Elstree Road, a distance of approximately 1840m (“the length of Roads”).

An alternative route will be via A4008 (Aldenham Road/Pinner Road/Oxhey Lane), A410 Uxbridge Road, A409 (Brookshill/Common Road) and A4140 High Road, or via A4140 High Road, A409 (Common Road/Brookshill), A410 Uxbridge Road, A4008 (Oxhey Lane/Pinner Road) and A411 Chalk Hill.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Roads, whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the length of Roads.

The Order will come into effect from 14 September 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 18 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B5378 Allum Lane, Elstree from its junction with Deacons Hill Road north eastwards to its junction with Station Road, a distance of approximately 204m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via B5378 Allum Lane, A5183 (Elstree Hill North/High Street), A411 Barnet Lane, A1 Barnet Bypass, A5135 Elstree Way and B5378 (Shenley Lane/Allum Lane) or via B5378 (Allum Lane/Shenley Road), A5135 (Elstree Way/Rowley Lane), A1 Barnet Bypass, A411 Barnet Lane, A5183 (High Street/Elstree Hill South), the A5183 Elstree Hill South roundabout, A5183 (Elstree Hill South/High Street/Elstree Hill North) and B5378 Allum Lane.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Road, whilst works are in progress.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:-

1. that length of Well End Road, Borehamwood from its junction with High Cannons south eastwards for a distance of approximately 490m.

An alternative route will be via Silver Hill, London Road, B5378 (Woodhall Lane/Green Street/Cowley Hill/Shenley Road), A5135 Elstree Way, Rowley Lane and Well End Road or via Well End Road, Rowley Lane, A5135 (Rowley Lane/Elstree Way), B5378 (Shenley Road/Cowley Hill/Green Street/Woodhall Lane), London Road and Silver Hill.

2. that length of Buckettsland Lane, Borehamwood from its junction with Well End Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 65m.

An alternative route will be via Well End Road, Rowley Lane, A5135 (Rowley Lane/Elstree Way), B5378 (Shenley Road/Cowley Hill/Green Street/Woodhall Lane), London Road, Silver Hill, High Canons and Buckettsland Lane or via Buckettsland Lane, High Canons, Silver Hill, London Road, B5378 (Woodhall Lane/Green Street/Cowley Hill/Shenley Road), A5135 Elstree Way, Rowley Lane and Well End Road.

The Order is needed because cabling works and pole testing are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order will come into effect from 14 September 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.
