(Temporary Daytime Closure) Order 2026

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to close the section of Thornscroft outside Nos. 1 to 4. The Order is necessary to protect public safety whilst new gas mains connections are made.

The Order will come into effect on 14 September 2026 and will last for 18 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is anticipated the works will commence on or after 14 September 2026 between 0800hrs and 1600hrs daily and will be completed on 22 September 2026.

Run Barns Green 2026)

(Temporary Daytime Closure) Order 2026 NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7days from the date of this Notice WSCC intends to make an Order under Sections 16A and 16B of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in either direction along the entire lengths of the following roads unless otherwise stated:-

Itchingfield: Chapel Road from its junction with Two Mile Ash Road southwards for a distance of 5 metres; Sandhills Road from its junction with Two Mile Ash Road northwards to its junction with Plumtree Cross Lane; Itchingfield Road; Plumtree Cross Lane; Muntham Drive; Westons Hill from its junction with Christ’s Hospital Road southwards to its junction with Plum Tree Cross Lane; and Itchingfield and Shipley: Trout Lane from its junction with Two Mile Ash Road southwards to its junction with Lackenhurst Lane; andItchingfield and Southwater: Christ’s Hospital Road from its junction with King Edward Road westwards to its junction with Westons Hill; Two Mile Ash Road from its junction with Sand Hills Lane to its junction with Christ’s Hospital Road; and Shipley: Baker’s Lane; Dragons Green Road; Lackenhurst Lane; Dragons Lane from its junction with Baker’s Lane eastwards to its junction with Dragons Green Road; and Shipley and Southwater: Marlpost Road.

These roads form part of the route to be taken by the competitors and will be closed for short periods of time on a rolling basis. Drivers will be advised of alternative routes where necessary.

Pedestrian access to premises situated on or adjacent to the roads will be maintained.

The Order is necessary to facilitate the holding of the Run Barns Green Half Marathon 10k & 5k Events 2026.

The Order will be operative on 27 September 2026 between 0930hrs and 1245hrs.

(20mph Zone) Order 202*

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC proposes to introduce a permanent Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to introduce a 20mph Zone in Broadbridge Heath that will include the following roads :

Adams Close, Beale Close, Broadbridge Way, Brown Close, Buck Way, Carter Drive, Chantler Lane, Clybouw Avenue, Cook Way, Ellis Road, Farley Close, Harding Lane, Hares Hill Close, Harris Way, Heydon Way, Kilhams Close, Lane Close, Langridge Lane, Nye Close, Old Wickhurst Lane, Ottley Way, Palmer Avenue, Pelling Way, Sargent Way, Smith Road, Staples Close, Thompson Road, Wells Croft, White Close and Worsfield Road.
