THE CITY OF SOUTHAMPTON
(STATIC RESTRICTIONS) (WEST)
(AMENDMENT 7) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT SOUTHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL made the above Order on 3rd September 2026, the effects of which will be:
1. To introduce no waiting at any time restrictions in the following lengths of road:
a) Waltham Crescent, outer side, from 6m west to 9m east of its junction with Purbrook Close, from 4m west to 7m south-east of its junction with Bransbury Close, from 6m north of its junction with Aldermoor Road northwards for 3.5m; inner side, from 7m north of its junction with Aldermoor Road northwards for 9m.
b) Bransbury Close, east side and northern closed end, their entire lengths; west side, from its northern closed end southwards for 9m and from 26m south of its northern closed end to its junction with Waltham Crescent.
c) Purbrook Close, east side and northern closed end, for their entire lengths; west side, from its northern closed end southwards for 16m, from 27m south of its northern closed end southwards for 9m and from 41m south of its northern closed end to its junction with Waltham Crescent.
d) Service Road from Aldermoor Rd to the rear of 237 – 247 Aldermoor Road (Aldermoor Road Car Park), east side, from its junction with Aldermoor Road northwards for 16m and from 28m north of its junction with Aldermoor Road northwards for 10m.
2. To introduce permit holders only restrictions, Monday – Friday 8am-6pm on:
a) Waltham Crescent, inner side, from 6m north of its western junction with Aldermoor Road to 16m north of its eastern junction with Aldermoor Road
b) Waltham Crescent, outer side, from 6m north of its western Junction with Aldermoor Road to 6m west of its junction with Purbrook Close, from 9m east of its junction with Purbrook Close to 4m west of its junction with Bransbury Close and from 7m south-east of its junction with Bransbury Close to 9.5m north of its eastern junction with Aldermoor Road.
c) Bransbury Close, west side, from 9m south of its closed end southwards for 17m.
d) Purbrook Close, west side, from 16m south of its closed end southwards for 11m and from 36m south of its northern closed end southwards for 5m.
3. To introduce a loading bay on the Service Road from Aldermoor Rd to the rear of 237 – 247 Aldermoor Road (Aldermoor Road Car Park), east side, from 16m north of its junction with Aldermoor Road northwards for 12m.
This Order will come into operation on 5th October 2026.
Copies of the Order, relevant map and statement of reasons can be viewed on the Councils website: https://transport.southampton.gov.uk/TRO or may be inspected Monday - Friday, 10am - 3pm at Gateway in the Civic Centre, Southampton SO14 7LY.
Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant enabling Act, or that a requirement of any such enabling Act or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with, may, within 6 weeks from the date of the Order, make application for this purpose to the High Court.
