THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

(LOUGHBOROUGH ROAD, RUDDINGTON & BRADMORE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITIONS) ORDER 2026 (R26-233)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Ruddington & Bradmore in the Borough of Rushcliffe

The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road:

a. Loughborough Road, Ruddington - From its junction with Flawforth Lane to its junction with Asher Lane.

b. Loughborough Road, Bradmore - From its junction with Loughborough Road, Ruddington to its junction with Plumtree Lane, Bradmore.

2. Vehicles are prohibited from waiting, loading and unloading in the following length of road at East Leake in the Borough of Rushcliffe:-

a. Angrave Road, East Leake - (Both Sides) (At Any Time) - From its junction with Flawforth Lane to its junction with Asher Lane.

b. Roulstone Crescent, East Leake - (Both Sides) (At Any Time) - Whole length of road.

3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.

4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows:
From Monday 28th September 2026
Until Saturday 03rd October 2026 inclusive

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
A52 Rushcliffe - Melton Road, Tollerton - Melton Road, Normanton On The Wolds - Melton Road, Stanton On The Wolds - Melton Road, Widmerpool - A46 Charnwood - Hades Lane, Wymeswold - Wide Lane, Wymeswold - East Road, Wymeswold - Far Street, Wymeswold - Rempstone Road, Wymeswold - Wymeswold Road, Rempstone - Main Street, Rempstone - Loughborough Road, Rempstone - Loughborough Road, Costock - Nottingham Road, Costock - Bunny Hill, Costock - Bunny Hill, Bunny - Loughborough Road, Bunny - Vice Versa

The Order will come into force on 28th September 2026 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).

The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands to carry out carriageway resurfacing works.
