THE A36 TRUNK ROAD (WEST WELLOW)
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTION AND PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (a) intends to make an Order on the A36 trunk road in the County of Hampshire to allow pedestrian crossing replacement and associated maintenance works to be carried out in safety.
The works are expected to take place daytime (08:00 to 18:00) commencing on or after 12 October 2026 and be completed by 6 November 2026.
The effect of the Order would be to:
(a) impose a mandatory 10 mph speed limit on the A36 northbound and southbound between the junctions with School Road and Slab Lane whilst convoy working is taking place;
(b) authorise the closure of the bus stops on the above length of the A36.
The speed limits (which would not apply to emergency services or special forces vehicles) and closures would be clearly indicated by traffic signs throughout the works.
The Order would come into force on 10 October 2026 and have a maximum duration of 18 months.
