On the 4th September 2026 The East Renfrewshire Council made the above named Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order authorises the restriction of vehicular access on a section of Blackbyres Road, Barrhead (from its junction with Glasgow Road up to Blackbyres Farm roundabout).
The Order has been promoted in order to restrict vehicular access on a section of Blackbyres Road, Barrhead, in order to facilitate the essential carriageway resurfacing works scheduled to be carried out between Sunday 4th October to Friday 16th October 2026.
The Order authorises the closure of the road for the duration of the works.
Vehicular access to properties within the extents of the closure may be permitted by the contractor on site only when it is possible to do so in conjunction with the works going on at the time. Access for emergency vehicles attending an incident will be maintained at all times.
Alternative route: Glasgow Road – Carlibar Road – Cross Arthurlie Street – Paisley Road – Grahamston Road – Blackbyres Road and vice-versa.
