What is happening?

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.  
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: That part of Rockbourne Road between its junction with Court Hill and its junction with Rockbourne Lane. (06/10-09/10 & 28/10-31/10)  
ROAD TO BE RESTRICTED- To impose a 40-mph temporary speed restriction on the following road: That part of Rockbourne Road between its junction with Court Hill and its junction with Rockbourne Lane. (01/10-31/10)
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Rockbourne Road, Rockbourne Lane, West Park Lane, Court Hill.  
DURATION OF ORDER: from Thursday 1st October 2026 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner.  (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the restrictions will be required for no longer than 4 weeks and this order will be in operation 24 hours a day).   The Temporary Road Restrictions have been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for National Grid to complete overhead electrical cable works.
