Holmsley Passage, Burley, New Forest - Temporary Road Closure due to pole replacement
What is happening?
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of Holmsley Passage between a point 1225 metres North from A35 Bournemouth Road and continuing to a point 375 metres North on Holmsley Passage.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Road from Holmsley Station to Burley, The Cross, Pound Lane, Burley Road, Forest Road, Lyndhurst Road, A35 Bournemouth Road.
DURATION OF ORDER: from Thursday 1st October 2026 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 1 day working between the hours 09:30-15:00).
