THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT (DIALSTONE LANE, OFFERTON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF LEFT AND RIGHT TURN) (TEMPORARY ONE-WAY TRAFFIC) NOTICE 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport proposes to make an Order not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which will be to introduce Temporary One-Way Traffic at Dialstone Lane, Offerton, between the junctions of Buxton Road and Hurdsfield Road, and a Temporary Prohibition of Left and Right Turns from Buxton Road onto Dialstone Lane, whilst traffic signs to that effect are in place on or near the said road. This Order is necessary to enable cable recovery works to take place.It is estimated these works will last 1 day. A diversion will be provided via Buxton Road, Nangreave Road, and Dialstone Lane. This Notice does not apply to pedestrians or pedal cycles. This Order is to come into operation on 7 October 2026 and will have effect for eighteen months, provided that if all necessary works are completed within a shorter period this Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
