NOTICE OF MAKING OF AN ORDER (OTHER THAN AN ACQUISITION EXTINGUISHMENT ORDER) SECTION 119 OF THE HIGHWAYS ACT 1980

NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

BIRCHAM FOOTPATH NO. 4 (PART) DIVERSION ORDER 2026

The above Order, made on 5th August 2026 under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 will divert part of the public footpath starting at the B1153 (Docking Road) at grid reference TF 7700 3355 and running a generally west-southwesterly direction for approximately 109 metres to grid reference TF 7689 3353 to a line starting at the B1153 (Docking Road) at grid reference TF 7700 3355 and runs in a generally southwesterly direction for approximately 90 metres to grid reference TF 7691 3352 where the footpath then turns to run in a generally northwesterly direction for approximately 23 metres to grid reference TF 7689 3353. The width of the way is 3 metres, except at grid reference TF 7692 3352 where the width is 2 metres adjacent to a tree. Limitations and Conditions: None

A copy of the Order and the Order Map may be seen free of charge at County Hall, Martineau Lane, Norwich (please email legalordersandregisters@norfolk.gov.uk in advance) and at the offices of King’s Lynn & West Norfolk Borough Council, Kings Court, Chapel Street, King’s Lynn, Norfolk, PE30 1EX during normal office hours or purchased at a cost of £5.00 from the undersigned.

Any representations about or objections to the Order may be sent in writing to the Senior Legal Orders Officer, Norfolk County Council, Martineau Lane, Norwich, NR1 2DH or emailed to legalordersandregisters@norfolk.gov.uk not later than 9th October 2026. Please state the grounds on which they are made.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Norfolk County Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation, any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
