TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in accordance with Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Southampton City Council made the above Order on 7th September 2026.
1. The effect of the Order will be to close Portsmouth Road from its junction with Botany Bay Road to its junction with Upper Weston Lane.
2. The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road. These works are for carriageway repairs.
3. The alternative route will be Botley Road, Bursledon Road, Maybray King Way, West End Road, Peartree Avenue and Bridge Road.
4. The Order will come into force on 14th September 2026 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the completion of the works, whichever is sooner. It is expected that the works will be complete by 15th September 2026.
