ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 
THE COUNTY OF DEVON (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION) 

(MARINE PARADE, SHALDON) (NO. 2) ORDER 2026 
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC & PARKING 

NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council intends to make the above titled order. From 28/9/26 for a maximum of 18 months. Anticipated Finish 20/11/26. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed or wait on the sections of Affected Roads. 

Roads affected: MARINE PARADE, SHALDON. The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via -MARINE PARADE, STRAND, FORE STREET, A379 TORQUAY ROAD, NESS DRIVE & VICE VERSA. 

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: CLIFF STABILISATION WORKS. ROAD WILL BE RE-OPENED ON 31/10/2026 & 08/11/2026 FOR BONFIRE PARTY & REMEMBRANCE DAY.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS 

NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council intends to make the above titled order. From 28/9/26 for a maximum of 18 months. Anticipated Finish 20/11/26. No person shall proceed on the sections of Affected Paths except for access to land or premises on or adjacent to those lengths of paths. Roads affected: MARINE PARADE, SHALDON. THERE IS NO ALTERNATIVE ROUTE. 

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: CLIFF STABILISATION WORKS. FOR SAFETY REASONS PEDESTRIANS, CYCLISTS, HORSE RIDERS ETC WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ACCESS TO THIS SECTION OF ROAD.

(BARNSTAPLE BY PASS [A39], BARNSTAPLE) ORDER 2026 
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
NOTICE is hereby given that Devon County Council intends to make the above titled order. From 28/9/26 for a maximum of 18 months. Anticipated Finish 10/10/26. 

Between the hours of 21:00 & 05:00. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed on the sections of Affected Roads. Roads affected: BARNSTAPLE BY PASS [A39], BARNSTAPLE. The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - B3232, BELLADOWN HILL, BARTRIDGE HILL, BELLE VIEW CROSS, CALVESFORD ROAD, NEW STREET, STATION HILL, A386, NEW ROAD, THE QUAY, KINGSLEY ROAD & VICE VERSA. 

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: PATCHING.

The alternative, signed, route for vehicles will be via - BEATLAND CORNER TO LEE MOOR, BRAG LANE TO BEATLAND CORNER ALONG ZC189, CADOVER BRIDGE TO BRAG LANE, HOO MEAVY CROSS TO CADOVER BRIDGE CROSS, GRATTON LANE, MEAVY LANE, YELVERTON ROUNDABOUT TO DARTMOOR RETREAT, TAVISTOCK ROAD, WILLIAM PRANCE ROAD, PINTAIL WAY, PLATINUM PARKWAY, FORDER VALLEY ROAD, PLYMOUTH ROAD, GLEN ROAD, STRODE ROAD, NEWNHAM ROAD, PARK LANE, LEE MOOR HILL. REVERSE ROUTE IS MOSTLY VICE VERSA. ANY SLIGHT DEVIATIONS SHOULD HAVE THE NECESSARY SIGNAGE IN PLACE. 

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: FULL DEPTH RECONSTRUCTION &SURFACING WORKS.

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: TO INSTALL PEDESTRIAN & CYCLISTS PRIORITY INFRASTRUCTURE.

This temporary restriction is considered necessary to enable: TO INSTALL PEDESTRIAN & CYCLISTS' PRIORITY INFRASTRUCTURE.
