THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(DUDLEY ROAD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City
Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a)
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by
the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991,
prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on Dudley Road
closed, in both directions, between its junctions with
Goldthorn Hill and Poplar Street.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen
months, but it is anticipated that the closure will be in place
from the 26 September 2026 to the 27 September 2026 and
3 October 2026 to the 4 October 2026 only.
The diversion route is: Anti-clockwise Vehicular Diversion
Route: Parkfield Road, Thompson Avenue, Birmingham Road,
Grove Street. Clockwise Vehicular Diversion Route:
Goldthorn Hill, Penn Road, Ring Road, Birmingham Road,
Grove Street.
The Order is required to facilitate works for a new service
connection by National Grid Electricity Distribution.
