THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY (ON STREET DESIGNATED PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) AMENDMENT AND REVOCATION ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bury Metropolitan Borough Council propose to make the above named Order under sections 1, 2, and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the Order will be as follows:-
The following will be removed from the above order:

i) from a point 30m south of the projected southerly kerbline of Trinity Street for a distance of 82m in a southerly direction |

Market Street, Bury — West Side |
ii) from a point 141m south of the projected southerly kerbline of Trinity Street for a distance of 80m in a southerly direction |

Market Street, Bury — West Side |
iii) from a point 60m north of the northerly kerbline of Wellington Road for a distance of 59m in a northerly direction |
The above will be replaced with the following:

i) from a point 67m south of the southerly kerbline of Trinity Street for a distance of 110m in a southerly direction. |

ii) from a point 52m north of the northerly kerbline of Wellington Road for a distance of 127m in a northerly direction |
The Metropolitan Borough of Bury (Market Street, Bury) (Bus Parking Place) and (Amendment to Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2007 is hereby revoked in its entirety.
Details of the proposals are in the draft Order (including the exemptions contained within them) with plans showing the roads and areas affected and the statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Orders. Copies of these may be requested by email at engcon@bury.gov.uk, quoting ref: TR35/26 or copies will be available to view for free at the Town Hall, Knowsley Street, Bury from 9am – 4:30pm Mon – Fri.
All representations whether in support or objecting to the proposals, together with the grounds on which they are made must be made in writing and sent to Traffic Team, Bury Council, Bradley Fold Depot, 34 Bradley Fold Road, Ainsworth, Radcliffe, Bury BL2 6RS or preferably by email to TRObjections@bury.gov.uk quoting ref: TR35/26 by 1st October 2026.
Please note that all representations received may be considered in public by the Council and that the substance of any representation together with the name and address of the person making it could become available for public inspection.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bury Metropolitan Borough Council propose to make the above named Order under sections 1, 2, and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of the Order will be as follows:-
The lengths of road as described in the Schedule below shall be designated bus parking places with the restrictions and exemptions noted in the draft Order.
