Wiltshire - Multiple Traffic Notices, Temporary Road Closures and 30mph Speed Restrictions

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:

A) C318 (Part), Tisbury; for a distance of approximately 50m either side of the railway bridge to enable Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to carry out bridge and associated works. Alternative route via C318 (unaffected length) – C25 – C24 – C318 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 05 October 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00 for 1 night. B) Amesbury Road (Part), Amesbury; from its junction with A303 to its junction with A3028 to enable National Highways Ltd to carry out vegetation clearance and other associated works. Alternative route via A3028 – A303 – Solstice Park Avenue – Porton Road – Salisbury Road – A3028 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 09 October 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00 for 1 night. C) Old Road (Part), Alderbury; from its junction with Southampton Road to its junction with The Green to enable Tree Management Company to carry out tree cutting and associated works. Alternative route via The Green – Southampton Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 05 October 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 15:30 until 09 October 2026. D) C256 (Part), Ludgershall; from its junction with A342 for a distance of approximately 60m in a southerly direction to enable Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to carry out bridge inspection. Alternative route via C256 (unaffected length) – Andover Lane – A342 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 08 October 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00 for 1 night. E) Hindes Meadow (Part), Shrewton; from its junction with Elston Lane for a distance of approximately 33m in an easterly direction to enable Openreach to carry out excavate to lay 11m duct and other associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 06 October 2026 and the closure will be required for 3 days. F) C320, Statford Toney, Netherhampton and Wilton; from its junction with C12 to its junction with A3094 to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route via A3094 – A354 – C12 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 05 October 2026 and the closure will be required until weekdays only between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 until 14 October 2026. G) Grimstead Road (Part), Grimstead; from its junction with Windwhistle Lane to its junction with Church Street.

H) Chapel Hill (Part), Grimstead; from its junction with Butterfurlong Road to its junction with Greenfields to enable Southern Water Services to carry out manhole, carriageway repairs and associated works. Alternative route G via Grimstead Road (unaffected length) – Cockford Lane – Chapel Hill and vice versa. Alternative route H via Grimstead Road – Cockford Lane – Chapel Hill (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation as follows: G) 14 September 2026 between the hours of 08:30 and 18:00 until 16 September 2026. This Order will come into operation on 14 September 2026 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 16:30 for 3 days. J) C295 (Part), Donhead St Mary; from its junction with A30 to its junction with UC 912201 to enable Wessex Internet to carry out ducting and associated works. Alternative route via C295 (unaffected length) – C312 – A30 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 14 September 2026 and the closure will be required for 5 days. K) UC 873103 (Part), East Knoyle; from its property known as The Old Woodyard for a distance of approximately 100m in a northerly direction to enable Wessex Water Services to carry out repair stop tap. Alternative route via UC 873103 (unaffected length) – C306 – B3089 – A350 – C307 – C306 – C305 – UC 873103 (unaffected length) and vice versa. Orders A) to L) will have a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to temporarily introduce a 30mph speed restriction on the following lengths of roads: A) Salisbury Road (Part), Bulford; from a point approximately 100m north of its junction with right of way known as Footpath 5, Bulford for a distance of approximately 200m in a southerly direction. B) A3028 (Part), Bulford; from a point approximately 300m east of its junction with Messines Road for a distance of approximately 200m in an easterly direction. C) Amesbury Road (Part), Bulford; from a point approximately 100m north east of its junction with A3028 for a distance of approximately 400m in a north easterly direction to enable LPC Construction Limited to carry out ducting for two new 33KV cables via excavation and associated works. The speed restrictions will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This speed limit restrictions will come into operation as follows: A) will come into operation on 14 September 2026 and will be required until 18 September 2026. B) will come into operation on 21 September 2026 and will be required until 25 September 2026. C) will come into operation on 28 September 2026 and will be required until 02 October 2026. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months.
