THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (LAWRENCE STREET AREA, NEWARK ON TRENT) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING)

TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2026 (3384)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council Has Made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, Traffic Management Act 2004, as amended, and The Civil Enforcement of Parking Contraventions (County of Nottinghamshire) Designation Order 2008 (SI 2008 No. 1086), as amended, the effects of which will be, in respects of roads at Newark on Trent in the District of Newark and Sherwood: -

Prohibition of Waiting At Any Time along the following length of roads:

Lawrence Place, Newark on Trent (south-west side)     

* From the centreline of Lawrence Street in a north-westerly direction for 19 metres.

Lawrence Street, Newark on Trent (south-east side)    

* From its junction with Welbeck Avenue in a south-westerly direction for 20 metres, as measured along the centreline.

 * From a point 10 metres north-east of its junction with Newstead Avenue in a south-westerly direction to a point 18 metres of that junction.

Lawrence Street, Newark on Trent (north-west side)

  * From its junction with Lawrence Place in a south-westerly direction for 20 metres, as measured along the centreline.

Newstead Avenue, Newark on Trent (north-east side)

* From its junction with Lawrence Street in a south-easterly direction for 10 metres.

Newstead Avenue, Newark on Trent (south-west side)

 * From its junction with Lawrence Street in a south-easterly direction for 22 metres.

Welbeck Avenue, Newark on Trent (south-west side)

 * From its junction with Lawrence Street in a south-easterly direction for 26 metres.

THIS ORDER WILL COME INTO FORCE ON 4th SEPTEMBER 2026

The restrictions have been introduced to deal with inconsiderate and obstructive parking at the junctions.
