Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended
Effect of the order: To temporarily close Footpath 20 and Footpath 22, Hatfield Peverel in the District of Braintree as specified below.

(Avenue Road, Witham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Avenue Road, Witham in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 20m south west then north west of its junction with Station Road for a distance of approximately 60m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th October 2026 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WH3DH27XL2CSB – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while blockage repair works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Avenue Road, Newland Street, The Avenue and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 17th September 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) & (South Street, Braintree)
(Temporary Suspension of Weight Restriction) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Church Hill, White Notley/The Street, Faulkbourne/Faulkbourne Road, Witham in the District of Braintree, from the junction of Station Road for a distance of approximately 3755m in a south westerly, south easterly north easterly then south easterly direction.
2. To temporarily suspend the 7.5 Tonne weight restriction on that length of South Street, Braintree from its junction with Silks Way to its junction with Railway Street as detailed in ‘The Essex County Council (South Street, Braintree) (7.5 Tonne Weight Restriction) Order 2010’.
The closure/suspension is scheduled to commence on 5th October 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2402296/A/B – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure/suspension is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching, signing works and gully replacement works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via B1256, B1018, Chipping Hill, Powers Hall End and vice versa (with access only into The Street, Witham Road, The Green, Witham Road, The Street, Notley Road and Flora Road).
The Order will come into effect on 17th September 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Cranes Lane, Kelvedon) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Cranes Lane, Kelvedon in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 540m north west of its junction with London Road for a distance of approximately 40m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th October 2026 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC311002WH3THH1C – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Cranes Lane, Kelvedon in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 345m north west of its junction with London Road for a distance of approximately 60m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 7th October 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC311001WH3TK34T – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while spine cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.

(Streetworks No.6) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close those lengths of road in the District of Braintree as specified in the Schedule.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 17th September 2026 exact dates will be specified on one.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.
The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while micro cutting works are undertaken by Gigaclear.
The Order will come into effect on 17th September 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Various Roads, District of Braintree) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) (No.19) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close those lengths of road in the District of Braintree as specified in the Schedule.
2. A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of road for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.
"The Essex County Council (Braintree District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping At Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 17th September 2026 exact dates will be specified on one.network.
