THE LONDON BOROUGH OF BARNET
The Barnet (Free Parking Places, Loading Places, Waiting, Loading And Stopping Restrictions) (Amendment No.315) Order 2026 - The Barnet (Charged-For Parking Places) (Amendment No.212) Order 2026

Notice Is Hereby Given that THE COUNCIL OF THE LONDON BOROUGH OF BARNET have made on 10th September 2026 the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 32, 35, 49 and 51 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.

In order to provide a parking facility to disabled blue badge holders who meet qualifying criteria, the general effect of the above Orders will be to provide designated disabled parking bays for use by motorists in their vehicles who display both a valid disabled blue badge and a dedicated disabled permit which will be applicable to each bay, outside the following locations: outside Nos. 71 to 81 Russell Lane N20, Park Road EN4 (side of No.83 Victoria Road), 64 Bedford Road N2 (By converting a permit holders parking bay operating 2:00pm to 3:00pm Monday to Friday), 16 East Road HA8, Debenham Court-Quinta Drive EN5 (By converting a length of a shared use pay by phone/permit holders parking bay operating 8:00am to 6:30pm Monday to Saturday), 41 Crewys Road NW2 (By converting a length of a resident permit parking bay operating 10:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday).

The general effect of the above Orders will also remove redundant disabled parking bays outside 17 Bertram Road NW4 – (convert to a resident permit holder parking bay operating 10:00am to 11:00am Monday to Friday), 67 Broughton Avenue N3, 9 Elizabeth Close EN5, 31 Brookside EN4 and 26 Cromwell Road N3.

In order to improve access to a disabled motorist vehicle the Free Order will increase the width of the existing dedicated disabled permit holder only bays situated outside 25 Warrent Shale Lane HA8 and outside 5 Burnt Oaks Fields HA8 by approximately 0.3 metres and by approximately 1.3 metres respectively.

Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on Thursday 17th September 2026 and the Council’s Statement of Reasons for making the Orders can be obtained, for a period of 6 weeks from the date on which this notice is published, by emailing: parking.consultations@barnet.gov.uk, or by writing to: The Design Team, Highways Section, 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale, London, NW9 4EW.

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Orders or any of their provisions on the grounds that they are not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or any regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
