(Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
Effect of the order:
To temporarily close Footpath 19, Stansted Mountfitchet in the District of Uttlesford, from its junction with High Lane for its entire length to its junction with Gall End Lane.The closure is scheduled to commence on 09 September 2026 to 09 March 2027 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while resurfacing works/culvert works and new foul connection are undertaken.
Alternative route:
Gall End Lane, High Lane and vice versa.The Order will come into effect on 09 September 2026 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
To temporarily close that length of Stortford Road, Great Dunmow in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 80m south west of its junction with Buttles Lane to both of its junctions with Great Dunmow Bypass for a distance 210m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 1st October 2026 for 2 nights (19:00–05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP40060534279 - Lidl). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while surfacing works are undertaken by Lidl.An alternative route is available via B1256, B183, A1060, B184, B1008 and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 17th September 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Holders Green Road, Lindsell)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
To temporarily close that length of Holders Green Road, Lindsell in the District of Uttlesford, from its junction with Cowels Farm Lane for a distance of approximately 220m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 23rd September 2026 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC311001WH2WJD1P – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while duct laying works are undertaken by Openreach.An alternative route is available via Holders Green Road, Gallows Green Road, B184 and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 3rd September 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
