Heath Road East / Pulens Lane, Petersfield - Road Humps installed for traffic calming scheme
What is happening?
Hampshire County Council in exercise of its powers and duties under Section 62 of The Highways Act (1980) as amended by The Highways (Road Humps) Regulations (1999), and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police, hereby proposes implementing a traffic calming scheme as follows:
EFFECT OF SCHEME: The provision of four raised tables located at Heath Road East and Pulens Lane in Petersfield as follows: Each of the following raised tables will have an overall height of 75mm, slope lengths of 1500mm, a gradient of 1:20, a table-top length of 6,000mm and will extend the entire width of the carriageway: (i) The raised table shall be located 65 metres south-west of Heath Road East’s junction with Heath Road. (ii) The raised table shall be located 23.5 metres north-east of Pulens Lane’s junction with Montague Gardens. (iii) The raised table shall be located 47.5 metres south-east of Pulens Lane’s junction with Barnfield Road. The following raised table will have an overall height of 75mm, slope lengths of 1500mm, a gradient of 1:20, a table-top length of 2,4500mm and will extend the entire width of the carriageway: (iv) The raised table shall be located at Pulens Lane’s junction with Heath Road and Durford Road. The raised table will extend into the Heath Road and Durford Road junction.

All objections must state the grounds on which they are made. Persons wishing to make objections or other representations are advised that in the traffic calming implementation process, objections or other representations may become publicly available and therefore the names and addresses of those persons making objections or other representations may also be made publicly available.
