(Crown Street, Dedham) (10k Running Event) (Special Event)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 16 A-C of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, has made the above Order to facilitate the Dedham 10k Running Event.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close Crown Street, Dedham in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Brook Street to its junction with East Lane.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 13 September 2026 for 1 day between the hours of 10:30am until 12:30pm or where appropriate signs are showing, and weather permitting and is required to facilitate the Dedham 10k Running Event.
The alternative route will be via Castle Hill, East Lane, Long Road East, Manningtree Road, Brook Street and vice versa.
Access for emergency vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times during the closure.
The Order will come into effect on 13 September 2026 and may continue in force for 3 days unless extended by the Secretary of State.
(Church Road, Little Bentley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Church Road, Little Bentley in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 515m north east then north west of its junction with Rowherns Lane for a distance of approximately 140m in a north westerly then north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th October 2026 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP20115394465 – Essex County Council).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while trial hole investigation works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Fishponds Hill, Great Horkesley/Little Horkesley in the City of Colchester, from its junction with London Road to its junction with Water Lane a distance of approximately 790m.
2. To temporarily close that length of London Road, Great Horkesley in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Tog Lane to its junction with Horkesley Hill a distance of approximately 1350m.
The closures are scheduled to commence on 5th October 2026 – (19:00-3:00) for 4 nights, or where stated on a valid permit (BC311001WH2VCF6J, BC311002WH2VCF6J, BC311003WH2VCF6J & BC311004WH2VCF6J – Openreach). Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Green Island, Ardleigh in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Park Road to its junction with Bromley Road a distance of approximately 420m.
2. To temporarily close that length of Park Road, Ardleigh in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 470m north east of its junction with Bromley Road for a distance of approximately 50m in a north easterly direction.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) (Streetworks No.3) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close those lengths of road in the District of Tendring as specified in the Schedule.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 17th September 2026 exact dates will be specified on one.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.
The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while gas main replacement works are undertaken by Cadent.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) (No.12) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close those lengths of roads in the City of Colchester and District of Maldon as specified in the schedule.
2. A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of road for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.
The Essex County Council (Colchester Borough & District of Maldon) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 17th September 2026 exact dates will be specified on one.network. Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close the cycle lane in that length of Head Street, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Church Walk to its junction with High Street a distance of approximately 185m.
2. To temporarily introduce a clearway in that length of Head Street, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Church Walk to its junction with High Street a distance of approximately 185m.
3. To temporarily introduce a clearway in that length of Culver Street West, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Head Street to its junction with Shewell Walk a distance of approximately 94m.
