Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Gainsford Avenue, Clacton-on-Sea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Eastcliff Avenue for a distance of approximately 25m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th October 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2402016 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while footway repair works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Gainsford Avenue, Eastcliff Avenue and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 17th September 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Laxton Grove, Great Holland in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Orchard Drive for a distance of approximately 275m in a north westerly, south westerly then south easterly direction.
2. To temporarily close that length of Orchard Drive, Great Holland in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 60m north east of its junction with Rosery Mews to its end a distance of approximately 100m.
The closures are scheduled to commence on 5th October 2026 for 26 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC311001WGRWHD0B & BC311002WGRWHD0B – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while ducting works are undertaken by Openreach.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Norwood Avenue, Clacton-on-Sea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Gainsford Avenue to its junction with Deanhill Avenue a distance of approximately 210m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 6th October 2026 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2402028 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while footway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th October 2026 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411002WGNT1W7X – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Old Road, Pier Avenue, Rosemary Road West and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 17th September 2026 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Pork Lane, Great Holland in the District of Tendring, from a point approximately 620m north west of its junction with Kirby Road for a distance of approximately 130m in a north westerly then south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th October 2026 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC311003WGRWHD0B – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while ducting works are undertaken by Openreach.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) (Streetworks No.4) Order 2026
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close those lengths of road in the District of Tendring as specified in the Schedule.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 17th September 2026 exact dates will be specified on one.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.
The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while gas main replacement works are undertaken by Cadent.

Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Jaywick Lane, Clacton-on-Sea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with St Johns Road for a distance of approximately 890m in a south easterly then south westerly direction.
2. To temporarily close that length of Bluehouse Avenue, Clacton-on-Sea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Jaywick Lane for a distance of approximately 35m in a north easterly direction.
The closures are scheduled to commence on 21st September 2026 for 54 days (works to be completed in phases), or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5011001522433 & AZ5011001522436 – Cadent Gas). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains replacement works are undertaken by Cadent Gas.
