Surbiton - Temporary Road Closures & Restrictions Due To Festival

Clauses 12 And 13 Of The London Local Authorities & Transport For London Act 2008 Amending Section 16a To Section 16c Of The Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 And Part II Of The Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984

1. THE COUNCIL OF THE ROYAL BOROUGH OF KINGSTON UPON THAMES hereby gives notice that in order to facilitate Surbiton Festival 2026 it intends to make an Order the effect of which is summarised in paragraph 3 below.

2. The Order will come into effect on Saturday 26th September 2026 and will be in force for 1 day.

3. When the works are taking place and the appropriate traffic signs are displayed the Order will temporarily;
– Prohibit all vehicular traffic including pedal cycles from entering or exiting in:
– St Andrews Road
– Victoria Road (including Surbiton Parade) between its junctions with St Andrews Road and St James Road; and
– Introduce ‘at any time’ ‘no waiting’ and ‘no loading’ restrictions for those areas of parking and loading bays and where any single yellow line restrictions exists in the following roads:
– Maple Road between its junctions with St Andrews Square.
– St Andrews Road between its junctions with Maple Road and Victoria Road.
– St James Road between its junction with Maple Road and No. 76 and between its junctions with Claremont Road and St James Court.
– Victoria Road outside Nos. 74 to 84.

4. Vehicles access to properties adjacent to the prohibited length of road will be maintained at all times insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.

5. The prohibitions specified above apply only during such times and to such extent as indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
