LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(ALBERT ROAD, LORD STREET AND NORTH VALLEY ROAD, COLNE, PENDLE BOROUGH)
(REMOVAL AND INTRODUCTION OF PEDESTRIAN CROSSINGS)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council propose to make the above pedestrian crossing under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to:
1) Remove a puffin crossing in Albert Road, Colne, from a point 8.45 metres north east of its junction with the centreline of Queen Street/Smith Street for a distance of 37.21 metres in a south westerly direction.
2) Introduce a puffin crossing in Albert Road, Colne, from a point 10.08 metres north east of its junction with the centreline of Queen Street/Smith Street for a distance of 44.32 metres in a south westerly direction.
3) Introduce a signalised pedestrian crossing in the following locations:
a) Lord Street, Colne, from a point 6.91 metres north west of its junction with the centreline of Albert Road for a distance of 3.1 metres in a north westerly direction;
b) Albert Road, Colne, from a point 9.86 metres north east of its junction with the centreline of Lord Street/Sutherland Street for a distance of 3.25 metres in a north easterly direction;
c) Albert Road, Colne, from a point 8.26 metres south west of its junction with the centreline of Lord Street/Sutherland Street for a distance of 3.2 metres in a south westerly direction;
d) Lord Street, Colne, from a point 11.53 metres south of its junction with the centreline of North Valley Road for a distance of 3.06 metres in a southerly direction;
e) North Valley Road, Colne, from a point 6.71 metres south west of its junction with the centreline of Barrowford Road/Lord Street for a distance of 3.1 metres in a south westerly direction;
f) North Valley Road, Colne, proposed installation of a 3.29-metre-wide signalised pedestrian crossing at the Barrowford Road/Lord Street and North Valley Road junction, spanning 16.81 metres between Barrowford Road and Lord Street.
A copy of the relevant notice and plan indicating the location of the crossing may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of the Pendle Borough Council, No1 Market Street, Nelson, Lancashire, BB9 9LU and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, Fishergate, Preston, PR1 8XJ, and on Lancashire County Councils Website
