Highways Act 1980 The Cornwall Council Public Footpath No. 37 Wendron (Part) (Boquio Farm) Public Path Diversion Order 2024 

On 12 August 2026, the Secretary of State for Environment Food and Rural Affairs confirmed with modifications the above Order made under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980. 

The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert a length of Public Footpath 37 in Wendron commencing at its junction with another part of Public Footpath 37 Wendron to be retained approximately 72 metres east-north-east of 'Boquio Farmhouse' at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OSGR) SW 67039/34010 and continuing in a generally west-south-westerly then north-north-westerly then west-north-westerly direction for a distance of 159 metres and terminating at its junction with another part of Public Footpath 37 Wendron to be retained approximately 94 metres north-west of'Boquio Farmhouse' at OSGR SW 66915/34074 to a revised line commencing at its junction with a part of Public Footpath 37 Wendron to be retained approximately 72 metres east-north-east of'Boquio Farmhouse' at OSGR SW 67039/34010 and continuing in a generally west-north-westerly then north-north-easterly direction for a distance of 148 metres and terminating at its junction with another part of Public Footpath 37 Wendron to be retained approximately 94 metres north-west of'Boquio Farmhouse' at OSGR SW 66915/34074. 

A copy of the confirmed Order and order map may be downloaded from Cornwall Council's website at https://www.cornwall.gov.uk/environment/countryside/public-path-orders/confirmed-public-path-orders/and have also been placed and may be seen free of charge at Helston Library, Trengrouse Way, Helston, TR13 8AG between the hours of 09.00 to 17.00 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and between the hours of 10.00 and 13.00 on Saturdays. 

Alternatively copies of the Order and order map may be obtained free of charge from PROWorders@cornwall.gov.uk.   

The Order comes into force on the date on which it is certified that the works required to bring the new path into a fit condition for use have been carried out, but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within six weeks from the date of this notice, make application to the High Court. 10 September 2026
