Calderdale Borough (Multiple Areas) - Temporary 30mph Speed Limits

(TEMPORARY 30 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2026

(CALDERDALE WAY, ELLAND)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Borough Council of Calderdale have made an Order the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary 30mph speed limit on Calderdale Way from Street Light 132 to Street Light 170 for a distance of approximately 960 metres. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 14th September 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months. It is anticipated that the 30mph speed limit restriction will be lifted as soon as the works are complete, which is expected to be 9th October 2026. The 30mph speed limit will be in operation 24 hours daily for the duration of the Order, whilst 30mph speed limit signs remain in place.

(GROVE TERRACE, MYTHOLMROYD)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Yorkshire Water, have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Grove Terrace from No.10 to No. 16 for a distance of approximately 16 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained. No alternative route available. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 17th September 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 18th September 2026. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 08:00 & 18:00.

(ALFRED STREET, BRIGHOUSE)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Yorkshire Water, intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Alfred Street from No. 5 to No. 10 for a distance of approximately 20 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained. No alternative route available. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 28th September 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 2nd October 2026. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(CLUB STREET, TODMORDEN)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Yorkshire Water intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Club Street from its junction with Burnley Road to No. 3 Club Street for a distance of approximately 20 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained to closure point. No alternative route available. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 28th September 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 2nd October 2026. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(COPLEY GROVE, COPLEY)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Sapphire Utility Solutions, intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Copley Grove from its junction with Wakefield Road to No. 11 Copley Grove for a distance of approximately 60 metres.
PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained. No alternative route available – access will be maintained for residents. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 28th September 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 25th October 2026. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.

(PALACE HOUSE ROAD, HEBDEN BRIDGE)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by Yorkshire Water, intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Palace House Road from Shelf Road to Stanleigh Croft for a distance of approximately 10 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained to closure point. No alternative route available. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 28th September 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 29th September 2026. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 19:00 & 06:00.

(WINDLE ROYD LANE, WARLEY)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by 2Works Traffic Management, intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Windle Royd Lane from Lower Windle to Windle Royd Farm for a distance of approximately 200 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained to closure point. The alternative route is via Stock Lane, Gibbet Street, Warley Road, Burnley Road. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 28th September 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 28th September 2026. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 08:00 & 17:00.

(BLACKSHAW CLOUGH ROAD, SOYLAND)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council, because of works by OCU Utility Services Ltd, intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Blackshaw Clough Road from its junction with Lighthazles Road to Prospect House for a distance of approximately 75 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and access for emergency vehicles is maintained. The alternative route is via Blackshaw Clough Road, Cross Wells Road, Blue Ball Road, Coal Gate Road, Greave Road, Ash Hall Lane, Eccles Parlour, Lighthazles Road and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 28th September 2026 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 2nd October 2026. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.
