ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

The East Sussex (U2070 Royal Sussex Crescent, Eastbourne)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026 No.2

To allow UKPN carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Royal Sussex Crescent – from the junction with U2070 Colwood Crescent to the junction with U2070 Downs Avenue.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U2070 Royal Sussex Crescent, Colwood Crescent, Downs Avenue and vice versa. The Order commences 9 September 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 9 and 15 September 2026 depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (B2191 Willingdon Drove, Eastbourne)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Willingdon Drove – from the junction with A22 Shinewater roundabout to the junction with B2104 Hide Hollow roundabout.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via B2104 Friday Street, Lion Hill – B2247 Dittons Road, Dittons Road roundabout, Dittons Road – A22 Dittons Road roundabout South, Golden Jubilee Way, Shinewater roundabout – B2191 Willingdon Drove and vice versa.

The Order commences 7 September 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 20:00hrs to 06:00hrs between 7 and 26 September 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U2227 Marshall Road, Eastbourne)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Marshall Road – from the junction with U2226 Marshall roundabout to the junction with U2227 Brampton Road.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible.

The Order commences 21 September 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken from 21:00hrs to 06:00hrs between 21 and 26 September 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U2178 Wartling Road, Eastbourne)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

To allow Southern Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Wartling Road – from the junction with A259 Seaside to the junction with U2178 Rye Street.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U2178 Wartling Road, Winchelsea Road – A259 Seaside and vice versa.

The Order commences 23 September 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 23 and 24 September 2026 depending upon the weather conditions. The East Sussex (U2102 Beverington Road, Eastbourne)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

To allow Southern Water to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following length of road;

Temporary Road Closure

Beverington Road – from the junction with A2270 Willingdon Road to the junction with U2103 Rodmill Drive.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic via U2102 Beverington Road – U2103 Rodmill Drive – A2021 Rodmill roundabout, Kings Drive – U2081 Park Avenue – A2270 Willingdon Road and vice versa.

The Order commences 23 September 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken on 23 September 2026 depending upon the weather conditions.

The East Sussex (U2127 Hartfield Road/C285 Grove Road/U2037bSouthfields Road, Eastbourne)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2026

To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council intend not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road;

Temporary Road Closures

Hartfield Road – from the junction with A259 Upperton Road to the junction with U2127 Upperton Lane.

Diversion via U2127 Hartfield Road, Upperton Gardens – A2040 The Avenue – A259 Upperton Road and vice versa.

Grove Road – from the junction with A259 Station Roundabout to the junction with U2130 Ivy Terrace.

Diversion via U2037 Southfields Road – U2036 Old Orchard Road, Saffrons Road – C432 Meads Road and vice versa.

Southfields Road – from the junction with A259 Station Roundabout to the junction with U2036 Old Orchard Road.

Diversion southbound via C285 Grove Road – C432 Meads Road – U2036 Saffrons Road, Old Orchard Road – U2037 Southfields Road and northbound via U2036 Old Orchard Road, Saffrons Road – C432 Meads Road – U2261 South Street – A259 Gildredge Road, Terminus Road, Station Roundabout.

A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible with an alternative route for through traffic set out above.

The Order commences 21 September 2026 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 21 September 2026 and 22 February 2027 depending upon the weather conditions.
