NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director – Infrastructure and Regulatory Services of Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council proposes to make the Wigan Borough (Wigan Road, Atherton) (Temporary Closure) Order 2026.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven on Wigan Road, Atherton on 11th October 2026 between the hours of 08:30 and 12:00 only.
The alternative route for traffic is: Leigh Road – Lovers Lane – Wigan Road
The Order is necessary to allow installation of frame and cover.
Edale Road, Leigh – Temporary Closure

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director – Infrastructure and Regulatory Services of Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council has made the Wigan Borough (Edale Road, Leigh) (Temporary Closure) Order 2026 which will come into operation on 29th September 2026.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven on Edale Road, Leigh on 29th September 2026 between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only.
Access will be maintained for residents where possible.
The Order is necessary to allow installation of frame and cover.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven on Hawkhurst Park, Leigh from 23rd September 2026 to 2nd October 2026.
Access will be maintained for residents where possible.
The Order is necessary to allow new electric connection.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director – Infrastructure and Regulatory Services of Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council has made the Wigan Borough (Heath Street, Golborne) (Temporary Closure) Order 2026 which will come into operation on 28th September 2026.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven on Heath Street, Golborne on 28th September 2026 between the hours of 09:30 and 15:00 only.
The alternative route for traffic is: High Street – Church Street – Ashton Road – Edge Green Lane.
The Order is necessary to allow installation of frame and cover.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Assistant Director – Infrastructure and Regulatory Services of Wigan Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and delegated to her by the said Council has made the Wigan Borough (Parsonage Way, Leigh) (Temporary Closure) Order 2026 which will come into operation on 1st October 2026.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from driving a vehicle or causing or permitting a vehicle to be driven on Parsonage Way, Leigh on 1st October 2026.
The alternative route for traffic is: Atherleigh Way – Leighbrook Way.
The Order is necessary to allow installation of frame and cover.
