NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER
SECTION 119 HIGHWAYS ACT 1980
PUBLIC FOOTPATH G69 (PART) AT LIMES FARM,
NETHER BROUGHTON IN THE PARISH OF BROUGHTON
AND OLD DALBY AND THE BOROUGH OF MELTON
PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2025
On 27th August 2026 Leicestershire County Council confirmed the above Order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.
The effect of the Order as confirmed (without modification) is to divert the part of Footpath G69 which extends from grid reference 46959 32559 to grid reference 46968 32560.
The route to be diverted has no specified width.
The alternative route will extend from grid reference 46959 32559 to grid reference 46959 32560 and will then continue to grid reference 46968 32560. The new alternative Footpath will have a width of 2.5m between grid references 46959 32559 and 46968 32560 (A-C-B on the plan). A copy of the Order as confirmed and the Order map has been placed and may be seen free of charge at Room 200, County Hall, Glenfield and the offices of Melton Borough Council, Burton Street, Melton Mowbray, LE13 1GH during normal office hours. A copy has also been sent to the Clerk to Broughton and Old Dalby Parish Council. Copies of the Order and map may be purchased at a cost. The Order comes into force on 26th September 2026 but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under Paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by Paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within six weeks from the date of this Notice, make an application to the High Court.
