Temporary Closing Of Bridleway Bygrave 001, 013, Baldock 002, 003, 033
NOTICE is given that the HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL intend to make an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians, horse riders, and cyclists from using that length of Bridleway Bygrave 001, 013, Baldock 002, 003, 033, Between Bygrave Plantation and Norton Road, for an approximate distance of 2500m.
Alternative Route: On access routes provided as well as: pedestrians along Baldock 1 and Bygrave 14, Cyclists and equestrian users on Bygrave 14

The purpose of the Order is to enable utilities works to take place.

The section of Bridleway Bygrave 001, 013, Baldock 002, 003, 033 will be closed on or after 28 September 2026 for up to 6 months, when signs are in place.

Temporary Closing Of Bridleway Ippolitts 16
NOTICE is given that the HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL have made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians, horse riders, and cyclists from using that length of Bridleway Ippollitts 16, heading south from Stevenage Road, Little Wymondley to Stevenage Road St Ippolyts, for an approximate distance of 1100m.
Alternative route: no suitable alternative on PRoW network.

The purpose of the Order is to enable utilities works to take place.

The section of Bridleway will be closed on or after 17 September 2026 for up to 10 days, when signs are in place.

(Temporary Traffic Management Measures On Various Roads In Baldock During The ‘Baldock Annual Charter Fair’) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL intends to make an Order under Section 16(A),16(B) and 16(C) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be:-
To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads, except for access:-
a) that length of B197 High Street, Baldock from its junction with B197 London Road/South Road roundabout north westwards to its junction with B656 Whitehorse Street, a distance of approximately 634m.
An alternative route will be via: B656 Whitehorse Street, A507 Clothall Road and South Road.

b) that length of Bell Row, Baldock from its junction with B656 Hitchin Street south eastwards to its junction with the service road fronting Nos.14-48 High Street, a distance of approximately 77m.
There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the event.

c) the service road fronting Nos.14-48 High Street, Baldock from its junction with Bell Row north eastwards to its junction with B197 High Street, a distance of approximately 20m.
There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the event.

d) that length of Sun Street, Baldock from its junction with B656 Whitehorse Street south westwards to its junction with Church Street, a distance of approximately 88m.
An alternative route will be via: B656 (Whitehorse Street/Hitchin Street), Norton Road, Icknield Way and Church Street.

2. To prohibit all vehicles from proceeding along that length of B197 High Street, Baldock from its junction with B656 Whitehorse Street south eastwards to its junction with the B197 London Road/South Road roundabout, except in a north westerly direction only.
An alternative route will be via: South Road, A507 Clothall Road and B656 Whitehorse Street.

3. To prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of that length of Mansfield Road, Baldock from its junction with B197 High Street south westwards to its junction with Park Street, a distance of approximately 105m.

4. To prohibit all vehicles, except those associated with the ‘Baldock Annual Charter Fair’ from waiting at any time on the following lengths of road:-
a) both sides of B197 High Street, Baldock from its junction with Pinnocks Lane north westwards to its junction with B656 Whitehorse Street, a distance of approximately 550m.
b) within the central parking area of B656 Whitehorse Street, Baldock from a point in line with the south western boundary of No.10 Whitehorse Street north eastwards for a distance of approximately 70m.
c) the south east side of Sun Street, Baldock from a point in line with the boundary between No.9 and No.11 Sun Street south westwards for a distance of approximately 32m.

To prohibit all vehicles, except Hackney Carriages licensed by North Herts District Council, from waiting at any time on the southeast side of Simpson Drive, Baldock from a point 14m north east of its junction with B197 High Street north eastwards for a distance of approximately 18m.

To prohibit all vehicles from making a right turn manoeuvre from Mansfield Road into B197 High Street, Baldock, whilst the ‘Baldock Annual Charter Fair’ is in progress.

To prohibit all vehicles from making a left turn manoeuvre from Simpson Drive into B197 High Street, Baldock, whilst the ‘Baldock Annual Charter Fair’ is in progress.

Additionally, the existing one-way traffic system on that length of Church Street, Baldock from its junction with Sun Street north westwards to its junction with Orchard Road will be temporarily suspended to enable vehicles to use this length of road as an alternative route for the duration of the ‘Baldock Annual Charter Fair’.

The temporary traffic management measures will be in place on Thursday 1 October 2026 until Monday 5 October 2026, when signs are in place.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure public safety and prevent accidents for the duration of the ‘Baldock Annual Charter Fair’.

(Temporary Closing And Waiting Restrictions On A602 Lytton Way And Danesgate, Stevenage) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads") and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. The southbound carriageway of A602 Lytton Way, Stevenage from its northernmost junction with Danesgate south eastwards to its junction with the A602 Six Hills Way roundabout, a distance of approximately 227m.
An alternative route will be via: Danesgate and Danestrete.

2. The westbound carriageway of Danesgate, Stevenage from its junction with the road leading from the bus interchange south westwards to its junction with A602 Lytton Way, a distance of approximately 556m.
An alternative route will be via: Danesgate, Danestrete and A602 Lytton Way.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order will come into effect from 28 September 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 10 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(Temporary Closing Of Willian Way, Letchworth Garden City) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Willian Way, Letchworth Garden City from a point 60m southeast of its junction with A505 Baldock Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 100m ("the Road"), except for access.
An alternative route will be via: Willian Way, A505 Baldock Road, Lawrence Avenue, Whitethorn Lane and Willian Way.

The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing telegraph pole is proposed to be executed near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 30 September 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 2 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of Winch Hill Road, Breachwood Green) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Winch Hill Road, Breachwood Green from its junction with Darley Road south westwards, south eastwards, south westwards, south eastwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 1091m ("the Road"), except for access.
An alternative route will be via: Darley Road, Heath Road, Chapel Road, Lye Hill, Whiteway Bottom and Winch Hill Road.

The Order is needed because overhead cabling works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 28 September 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 1 day to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of Various Roads In Whitwell And Kimpton) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"):-
1. That length of Strathmore Road, Whitwell from its junction with B651 Horn Hill south eastwards and south westwards for its entire length.
There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.

2. That length of B651 Horn Hill, Whitwell/B651 Hitchin Road, Kimpton from its junction with Strathmore Road south westwards, south eastwards, south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with B651 High Street, a distance of approximately 2630m.
An alternative route will be via: B651 (Horn Hill/High Street/Hitchin Road/Whitwell Road), B656 (London Road/Hitchin Road/High Street/Codicote Road/Link Road/Church Street), A1000 Welwyn Bypass Road, B197 (Welwyn Bypass Road/Digswell Hill/Great North Road), B653 (Brocket Road/Marford Road/Cory Wright Way/Codicote Road) and B651 (Lamer Lane/Kimpton Road/Ballsough Hill/High Street).

The Order is needed because water service connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order will come into effect from 28 September 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 6 months to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(Temporary Closing Of The Footpath Fronting Nos.3-13 St Michaels Road, Hitchin) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the footpath fronting Nos.3-13 St Michaels Road, Hitchin from a point in line with the northeast boundary of No.13 St Michaels Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 43m ("the Footpath").
There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpath.

The Order will come into effect from 28 September 2026 and will be valid for a period of 6 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Footpath.

NOTICE is given that HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Newlands Lane, Hitchin from its junction with Gosmore Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 115m ("the Road"), except for access.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access:-
1. That length of York Road, Hitchin from a point 6m northwest its junction with Bunyan Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 84m.
An alternative route will be via: York Road, Bunyan Road, A505 Bunyan Road, Ickleford Road, Bearton Road and York Road.

2. That length of Lancaster Road, Hitchin from its junction with York Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 40m.
An alternative route will be via: York Road, Bunyan Road, A505 Fishponds Road, Bearton Avenue and Lancaster Road.

The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing gas mains is proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order will come into effect from 16 September 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 7 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(Temporary Closing Of Bedford Street, Hitchin) Order 2026
NOTICE is given that HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Bedford Street, Hitchin from a point in line with southern boundary of No.24 Bedford Street north eastwards for a distance of approximately 12m ("the Road").
There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 14 September 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 3 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
