TEMPORARY RESTRICTION TO USE OF ROAD ORDER 2026
On the 4 September 2026 The East Renfrewshire Council made the above named Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order authorises the restriction of vehicular access on a section of Henry Street (from its junction with Mill Road northwards for a distance of approximately 50 metres or thereby), Barrhead, in order to facilitate drainage works associated with a new development under construction nearby scheduled to be carried out from 08:00 on Monday 19 October to 17:00 on Sunday 8 November 2026.
The Order authorises the closure of the road for the duration of the works.
Vehicular access to properties within the extents of the closure may be permitted by the contractor on site only when it is possible to do so in conjunction with the works going on at the time. Access for emergency vehicles attending an incident will be maintained at all times.
Alternative route: Mill Road – Cross Arthurlie Street – George Street – Henry Street and vice versa.
