(Temporary Closing Of Drovers Way, St Albans) - Order No.2 2026
NOTICE is given that HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Drovers Way, St Albans from a point 67m southwest of its junction with Adelaide Street south westwards for a distance of approximately 25m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via: Drovers Way, A4147 Catherine Street, Etna Road, Worrall Road, Stapley Road, Uptton Avenue, Russell Avenue and Drovers Way.
or via: Drovers Way, Russell Avenue, Britton Avenue, A5183 Verulam Road/Folly Lane, A4147 (Folly Lane/Catherine Street) and Drovers Way.
The Order is needed because electrical service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 28 September 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 10 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of Sandringham Crescent, St Albans) - Order 2026
NOTICE is given that HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Sandringham Crescent, St Albans from its junction with Chiltern Road westwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 250m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via: Chiltern Road, The Ridgeway, Marshalswick Lane, B651 St Albans Road and Sandringham Crescent.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 2 October 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 1 day to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing Of Various Footpaths In Park Street) - Order 2026
NOTICE is given that HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the following lengths of footpath ("the Footpaths"):-
1. the footpath situated between No.30 Hazel Road and No.1 Hazel Close, Park Street from its junction with Hazel Road north eastwards to its junction with Birchwood Way, a distance of approximately 180m.
An alternative route will be via: the footway situated on the northeast side of Hazel Road, the footway situated on the northwest side of Park Street Lane, the footway situated on the southwest side of How Wood and the footway situated on the south side of Birchwood Way.
2. the footpath fronting Nos.21-27 Birchwood Way, Park Street from its junction with Birchwood Way westwards for a distance of approximately 64m.
An alternative route will be via: the footway situated on the southwest side of Birchwood Way and the footpath situated between No.30 Hazel Road and No.1 Hazel Close.
3. the footpath fronting Nos.31-43 Birchwood Way, Park Street from its northernmost junction with Birchwood Way south eastwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 40m.
An alternative route will be via: the footway situated on the west side of Birchwood Way.
4. the footpath fronting Nos.30-36 Birchwood Way, Park Street from its northernmost junction with Birchwood Way south eastwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 40m.
An alternative route will be via: the footway situated on the northeast side of Birchwood Way.
5. the footpath fronting Nos.55-75 Birchwood Way, Park Street from its northernmost junction with Birchwood Way south westwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 40m.
An alternative route will be via: the footway situated on the northwest side of Birchwood Way.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpaths.
The Order will come into effect from 28 September 2026 and will be valid for a period of 6 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Footpaths.

NOTICE is given that HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Chiswell Green Lane, St Albans from its junction with St Stephen Public Footpath No.082 north eastwards for a distance of approximately 38m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via: Chiswell Green Lane, Punchbowl Lane, Ragged Hall Lane, B4630 Watford Road and Chiswell Green Lane.
The Order is needed because water connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 28 September 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 12 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Manor Road, St Albans from its junction with Lemsford Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 48m ("the Road").
An alternative route will be via: Lemsford Road, A1057 Hatfield Road, St Peters Road and Manor Road.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 14 September 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 3 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the service road fronting Nos.63-109 St Albans Road, Sandridge from its junction with B651 St Albans Road north eastwards for its entire length ("the Road").
There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the works.
The Order is needed because utility repair works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

(Temporary Closing And Waiting Restrictions On Various Roads In Letchmore Heath, Radlett And Harpenden) - Order 2026
NOTICE is given that HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of Common Lane, Letchmore Heath/Radlett from its junction with Grange Lane north eastwards to its junction with New Road, a distance of approximately 1040m.
An alternative route will be via: Grange Lane, Primrose Lane, B462 Radlett Road and New Road.
2. that length of East Common, Harpenden from its junction with Limbrick Road south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Cross Lane, a distance of approximately 313m.
An alternative route will be via: Limbrick Road, A1081 St Albans Road and Cross Lane.
3. that length of Roundwood Lane, Harpenden from its junction with Falconers Field south westwards, north westwards, south westwards and north westwards to its junction with Kinsbourne Green Lane, a distance of approximately 1255m.
An alternative route will be via: Roundwood Lane, A1081 Luton Road, The Common and Kinsbourne Green Lane.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order will come into effect on 14 September 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

NOTICE is given that HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B652 Bower Heath Lane, Harpenden from its junction with B653 Lower Luton Road north eastwards to its junction with Bower Heath, a distance of approximately 695m ("the Road"), except for access.
An alternative route will be via: B653 Lower Luton Road, B651 (Lamer Lane/Ballslough Hill/High Street) and B652 (High Street/Kimpton Bottom/Bower Heath Lane).
The Order is needed because cabling works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order will come into effect from 14 September 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
