(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of
a) Byslips Rd, Studham between Kensworth Rd and Oldhill Wood.
b) Dunstable Road, Studham between Wells House and Kensworth Rd.
c) Kensworth Rd, Studham for the full length
This temporary closure is required to enable new water connections and mains renewal work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place as per the below dates for 24hrs per day.
a) from 7 October to 3 December.
b) From 7 to 16 September
c) From 17 September to 6 October
The alternative route for this closure will be via
a) Buckwood Lane, Dunstable Rd, Byslips Rd and vice versa.
b) Dunstable Rd, Buckwood Lane, Byslips Rd and vice versa.
c) Byslips Rd, Clements End Rd and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 7 September 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Luton Road, Barton le clay slip road from Hexton Road to the A6.
This temporary closure is required to enable cabling works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 5 to 9 October 2026 between the hours 0930-1530. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via B655 and A6.
The Order will come into operation on 5 October 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the full length of Mountview Avenue and Woodfield Gate, Dunstable.
This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway patching work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 5 to 9 October 2026 between the hours 0800-1800 The road will be closed at all times during this period. The roads wont be closed at the same time.
The alternative route for this closure will be via the below:
Mountview Avenue - Mayfield Rd, A5183, Southwood Rd and vice versa. Woodfield Gate - Woodfield Green, Southwood Rd, Mountview Avenue and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 5 October 2026 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.
