What is happening?
THE ROYAL BOROUGH OF
WINDSOR & MAIDENHEAD
GRUBWOOD LANE (PART), COOKHAM DEAN
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING)
ORDER 2026
The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead intends, not
less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make
an Order, the effect of which will be to:-
Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of
Grubwood Lane between the boundaries of property known
as “Brackenwood”.
The alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order is
via Grubwood Lane, Dean Lane, Hills Lane, Church Road,
Spring Lane, Choke Lane, Winter Hill Road, Hockett Lane
and Grubwood Lane.
The purpose of the proposed Order is to facilitate works
in the said road, namely new power connection and as a
result there will be the likelihood of danger to the public.
The proposed Order shall be in operation from 00:01 hours
on Monday 28 September until 23:59 on Friday 2 October
2026. The road will be closed when signs as prescribed by
the Traffic Sign Regulations and General Directions 2016
are in place to indicate the said restrictions.
