THE ARGYLL AND BUTE COUNCIL (A817 LOCH LOMOND-GARELOCHHEAD ROAD (HAUL ROAD)) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026

On Thursday the Twenty Seventh August 2026, Argyll and Bute Council made the above named Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will make it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the lengths of road as specified in the Schedule to the Order.

Schedule – Prohibition of Traffic

Section of Road to be closed in Helensburgh & Lomond

  1. A817 Loch Lomond-Garelochhead Road

    (Haul Road)

    From its junction with the A82T to its junction with the A814 Garelochhead Bypass (From Faslane Roundabout To Haul Road Roundabout), a distance of 14.31 kilometres or thereby.

    Alternative route: A82T – A818 – A814 and vice versa.

Times and Dates of closures

From 0830 hours on the 14th of September to 1600 hours on 25th September 2026
