DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER
HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981
The Oxfordshire County Council,Ipsden Footpath No. 6 (part),Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2026
On 7 September 2026, the Oxfordshire County Council confirmed the above Order under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.
The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by diverting:-Ipsden FP6 running from Berins Hill at OS Grid Ref SU 6498 8494 south-eastwards for 178m to SU 6503 8478 to a new line running from Footpath No. 1 at OS Grid Ref SU 6491 8497 southwards for 12m to SU 6491 8496, east-south-eastwards for 99m to SU 6500 8492, south-south-westwards for 103m to SU 6498 8482 and south-eastwards for 70m to SU 6503 8478, with a spur running from SU 6500 8492 north-north-eastwards for 14m to Berins Hill, opposite Footpath No. 20, at SU 6501 8493.

The Order came into force on the date of confirmation but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980 (the Act), as amended, and/or the powers of section 53A of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (WCA) or on the ground that any requirement of either Act or of any regulation made under them has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act and as applied by s53A(7) WCA, within six weeks from 11 September 2026 make an application to the High Court.
