Dronley Road, Birkhill - Temporary Traffic & Waiting Restrictions
What is happening?
TRAFFIC ORDER
On 31/08/2026, Angus Council made The Angus Council (Dronley Road, Birkhill)(Temporary Prohibition of Driving and Waiting) Order 2026, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, so that telecommunication works may be undertaken. The Order will come into force on 07/09/2026, from which date it is anticipated that the work will last for a period of seven days. However, the maximum duration in terms of the Act is 18 months. The Order prohibits all vehicular traffic from driving and waiting on the following roads in the Birkhill & Dronley area: (1) Pyotdykes Road (A923 - C8) from a point 505m north of its junction with A923 Coupar Angus Road, Birkhill in a northerly direction to its junction with Dundee – Dronley (C8); and (2) Dundee – Dronley (C8) from its junction with Pyotdykes Road (A923 - C8) in an easterly direction for a distance of 200m or thereby. The alternative route for vehicular traffic is via Dronley Road, A923 Dundee to Coupar Angus, B954 Muirhead to Alyth, Leoch (C9), and Dundee – Dronley (C8).
