(TEMPORARY CLOSING) ORDER 2026
The Scottish Borders Council (C118 & D84/6 Foulden Newton) (Temporary Closing) Order 2026 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 8 September 2026 and is expected to remain in effect until 15 September 2026 between the hours of 07:00 and 17:00 each day. The Order is required for Go Fibre works. When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the C118 and D84/6 Foulden Newton, closures are in conjunction with each other and only one road closure will be in place at any one time until completed.
The alternative routes are as follows:
(i) for Foulden Bastle; southbound traffic is via the C118, A6105, B6437, B6460, C117 and C118 to the point of closure, for northbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing;
(ii) for C118 at Burnbank, Foulden; northbound traffic is via the C118, A6105, B6437, B6355 and C118 to point of closure, southbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing; and
(iii) for D84/6; there is no alternative route. Local access shall be maintained.
