(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CHOLESBURY ROAD, TRING)
ORDER NO.2 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Cholesbury Road, Tring from a point in line with the north eastern boundary of ‘The Hollies’ south westwards for a distance of approximately 50m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Cholesbury Road, Chesham Road, Vicarage Road, Fox Road, A41 (Interchange Tring/ unnamed road), A416 (Chesham Road/Ashley Green Road/ Nashleigh Hill), Vale Road, Cholesbury Lane and Cholesbury Road.

The Order is needed because utility service connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 28 September 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 5 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WINIFRED ROAD, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD)
ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Winifred Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Featherbed Lane south westwards for a distance of approximately 44m (“the Road”). An alternative route will be via Featherbed Lane, A4251 London Road, Sealy Way and Weymouth Street. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 29 September 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 1 day to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND WAITING RESTRICTIONS
ON VARIOUS ROADS IN HEMEL HEMPSTEAD)
ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:

1. the A414 Breakspear Way/Green Lane roundabout, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with northernmost junction with Green Lane clockwise for its entire length. Motorway traffic will be via A414 Breakspear Way, the M1, the M25, A41 (unnamed road/Two Waters Way) and A414 (Two Waters Way/St Albans Road/Breakspear Way)
Non-motorway traffic will be via Green Lane, Boundary Way, Swallowdale Lane, A4147 Marylands Avenue and A414 Breakspear Way.

2. that length of A414 Breakspear Way, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with the Green Lane roundabout south westwards to its junction with the A4147 Maylands Avenue/ A414 St Albans Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 1837m.
Motorway traffic will be via A414 Breakspear Way, the M1, the M25, A41 (unnamed road/Two Waters Way) and A414 (Two Waters Way/St Albans Road)
Non-motorway will be via follow Green Lane, Boundary Way, Swallowdale Lane and A4147 Marylands Avenue.

3. that length of Green Lane, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Boundary Way south westwards to its junction with the A414 Breakspear Way roundabout, a distance of approximately 408m.
An alternative route will be via Boundary Way, Swallowdale Lane, A4147 Marylands Avenue and A414 Breakspear Way.

4. that length of Green Lane, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Westwick Row north eastwards to its junction with the A414 Breakspear Way roundabout, a distance of approximately 700m.
An alternative route will be via Green Lane, A4147 Leverstock Green and A414 Breakspear Way.

5. that length of Buncefield Lane, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Wood Lane End south eastwards to its junction with A414 Breakspear Way, a distance of approximately 363m.
An alternative route will be via Boundary Way, Swallowdale Lane, A4147 Marylands Avenue and A414 Breakspear Way. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order will come into effect from 28 September 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 3 nights to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF LOWER YOTT ROAD,
HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Lower Yott Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with A414 St Albans Road north westwards and northwards to its junction with Windmill Road, a distance of approximately 159m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via A414 St Albans Road, White Hart Road and Windmill Road or via Windmill Road and Turners Hill.

The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing gas mains is proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 14 September 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 7 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CROSS OAK ROAD,
BERKHAMSTED) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Cross Oak Road, Berkhamsted from a point 89m north east of its junction with Shootersway north eastwards for a distance of approximately 103m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Cross Oak Road, Shootersway, Durrants Lane, Durrants Road, Shrublands Road and Cross Oak Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 15 September 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 3 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SPRING LANE, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Spring Lane, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Galley Hill south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Warners End Road, a distance of approximately 548m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Galley Hill, Boxted Road and Warners End Road.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order will come into effect from 14 September 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The works are scheduled to take 3 days to complete and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES
ON VARIOUS ROADS IN BERKHAMSTED
DURING THE ‘BERKO FIELDS FESTIVAL’)
ORDER 2026

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect on the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) will be:-

1. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Murray Road/Castle Hill, Berkhamsted from its junction with Bridgewater Road north eastwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 684m, except for access. There is no alternative route available, but access will be maintained wherever possible throughout the duration of the event.

2. To prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of the following lengths of Roads for the duration of the event:-

a) that length of Murray Road/Castle Hill, Berkhamsted from its junction with Bridgewater Road north eastwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 684m.

b) that length of Bridgewater Road, Berkhamsted from its junction with Brownlow Road north westwards to its junction with Delahay Rise, a distance of approximately 763m.

c) that length of Brownlow Road/New Road, Berkhamsted from its junction with Whitehill Road north eastwards to its junction with The Common, a distance of approximately 1712m.

d) that length of Castle Hill Avenue, Berkhamsted from its westernmost junction with Bridgewater Road north eastwards, south eastwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 393m.

e) that length of Delahay Rise, Berkhamsted from its junction with Bridgewater Road north eastwards to its junction with Gaveston Drive, a distance of approximately 175m.

f) that length of Gaveston Drive, Berkhamsted from its junction with Delahay Rise south eastwards to its junction with Murray Road, a distance of approximately 335m.

g) that length of Whitehill Road/New Road, Berkhamsted from its junction with Brownlow Road south eastwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 617m. The purpose of the Order is to ensure public safety and prevent accidents for the duration of the ‘Berko Fields

Festival’

The Order will come into effect on 11 September 2026 and will be valid for a period of 18 months. The event is scheduled for 3 days and will only take effect on the days and times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.
