CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (U2514 FROSTOMS ROAD, WORKINGTON AND C2001 SEATON ROAD, SEATON) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2026
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Cumberland Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following sections of road:
1. U2514 Frostoms Road, Workington, from its junction with the B5296 Harrington Road, Workington extending in a south easterly direction for approx. 20 m.
There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles.
Duration: From 5 October 2026 for approx. 9 days (Ref: TTROC/19637)
2. C2001 Seaton Road, Seaton, from its junction with Coronation Avenue, extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 60 m.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C2001 Seaton Road, C2016 Lowa Lane and A596, Northside Road and Calva Brow.
Duration: From 24 October 2026 for approx. 9 days (Ref: TTROC/19467)
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times

The Order will come into operation on 5 October 2026 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
