(COUNDON WEDGE DRIVE) (30MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Coventry City Council (“the Council”), under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), has made the above Traffic Regulation Order (“the Order”) which will come into operation on Monday, 14th September 2026

The Order introduces a 30mph speed limit on that part of Coundon Wedge Drive, extending from the roundabout junction with Brownshill Green Road, Long Lane and Wall Hill in a southerly direction to a point 66 metres south of the roundabout junction with Sayer Lane.

The Order is required to improve road safety and amenity in conjunction with Coundon Cycle Scheme.

A copy of this Notice, the Order, Statement of Reasons for making the Order and a plan may be inspected at the Council House (reception area) Earl Street, Coventry and on the Council’s website ‘www.coventry.gov.uk/tro’

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under that Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from today, apply for the purpose to the High Court.

CITY OF COVENTRY (OWENFORD ROAD)
(WAITING RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2026

Notice is hereby given that Coventry City Council (“the Council”), under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), has made the above Traffic Regulation Order (“the Order”) which will come into operation on Monday, 14th September 2026

The effect of the Order shall be to remove parts of the ‘No Waiting At Any Time’ restriction on Owenford Road and introduce ten (10) new Limited Waiting Bays, which will apply Monday to Saturday from 8am to 6pm with 2 hours free parking.

The Order is required to improve safety, amenity and support commerce along Jubilee Crescent.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS LOWER FORD STREET, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Lower Ford Street commencing from outside Bodiam Hall and continuing to the roundabout with a 4-way temporary traffic light system on Ragland Street and Alma Street in order to facilitate this.

The Order will come into effect on 00:01 hours on Tuesday 15th September 2026 and is required to clear blockages in the BT/Openreach duct on the said road.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by Thursday 17th September 2026.

The specific closure times will apply as the signage indicates on site.

Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic will be as signed on site.

Exemptions will be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) local vehicular access to Lower Ford Street

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS WALL HILL ROAD, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Wall Hill Road commencing at its junction with Hawkes Mill Lane and continuing to its junction with Hollyfast Lane.

The Order will come into effect from 00:01 hours on Thursday 17th September 2026 and is required to enable new supply works to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by Tuesday 22nd September 2026.

Exemptions will be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) local vehicular access.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS MERYNTON AVENUE, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Merynton Avenue commencing at the highway fronting No.32 and then continuing for approximately 15m in each direction of the road.

The Order will come into effect from 00:01 hours on Tuesday 15th September 2026 and is required to enable Severn Trent Water to safely replace a long communications pipe. works to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by Friday 18th September 2026.

Exemptions will be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS SPON STREET, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Spon Street commencing at the highway fronting No. 159 and then continuing for approximately 10m in each direction.

The Order will come into effect from 00:01 hours on Monday 14th September 2026 and is required to enable Severn Trent Water to safely renew a water meter.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by Wednesday 16th September 2026.

Exemptions will be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) local vehicular access.

TEMPORARY PARKING & TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS LAKE VIEW ROAD, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering, proceeding along Lake View Road from its junction with Four Pounds Avenue to a point approximately 40 metres west of the junction.

The Order will come into effect at 07:00 hours on Thursday, 17 September 2026 and is required to enable Severn Trent Water to carry out a chamber rebuild and associated works on Lake View Road to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by 21 September 2026.

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the closure will be sign posted on site.

Exemptions will be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency;

TEMPORARY PARKING & TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS WHOBERLEY AVENUE, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering, proceeding along Whoberley Avenue from its junction with Billing Road to its junction with Maudslay Road.

The Order will come into effect at 07:00 hours on Thursday, 17 September 2026 and is required to enable Severn Trent Water to carry out a chamber cover renewal and associated works on Whoberley Avenue to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen
(18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by 17 September 2026.

Alternative routes for vehicular traffic affected by the closure will be sign posted on site.

Exemptions will be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer in uniform;

(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency;

(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;

(d) reasonable local vehicular access to Whoberley Avenue.

Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY/ FOOTPATH CLOSURE PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY SUTTON STOP, COVENTRY

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of which would be a closure of the length of footpath detailed in the Schedule below (when appropriate signage is in place).

The Order would come into operation at 00.01 hours Friday 18th September 2026 and is required to facilitate the construction of a new housing development and re alignment of the current Public Right of Way

The maximum duration of this Order is six (6) months.

The Council reserves the right to seek an extension to the Order from the Secretary of State for Transport in the event it believes the Order will be required beyond 6 months.

Closure times would be as signed on site.

Any alternative route for pedestrians would be sign posted on site.

Exemptions would be provided for:

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Park Street to such extent when prescribed signs are displayed.

The Order would come into effect from 00:01 hours on Monday 21st September 2026 and is required to enable gully cleansing and carriageway repair works to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Friday 25th September 2026.

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Hawkes Mill Lane commencing at its junction with Washbrook Lane and continuing to its junction with Ted Pitts Lane.

The Order would come into effect from 00:01 hours on Monday 21st September 2026 and is required to enable utility connections to be made safely for the newly built properties.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Friday 25th September 2026.

Exemptions would be provided for:

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding along Bedlam Lane. The Culde- Sac road would be closed as well as the Footpath.

The Order would come into effect from 00:01 hours on Monday 21st September 2026 and is required to facilitate the swapping of an existing telecoms tower to take place safely.

The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Friday 25th September 2026.

Exemptions would be provided for:

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;
