NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit any person from proceeding along a length of Public Footpath No. 1814 from its junction with Public Footpath No. 1815 (517538.790, 123764.452) eastwards to the Downs Link (517924.599, 123726.522), a distance of 420m. The Order is necessary to protect public safety due to a broken bridge.
Unfortunately there are no alternative routes available using the Public Rights of Way network.
The Order will come into effect on 9 September 2026 and will last for 6 months.

(Shipley: Public Footpath No. 1889)
(Temporary Closure) No. 2 Order 2026
NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit persons from proceeding along the length of Public Footpath No. 1889 from its western end at its junction with Public Footpath No. 1888 (515428,125403), eastwards to its junction with Shipley Road (515594,125341), a distance of approximately 175 metres.
The Order is necessary to protect public safety due to tree felling and other enabling works for reserved matters relating to planning permission.
Unfortunately there is no alternative route available using the Public Rights of Way network.
The Order will come into effect on 23 September 2026 and will last for 6 months or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.
