TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC 151824489: The City of Manchester (St James Street, Deansgate Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on St James Street between Dickinson Street & Oxford Street. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Dickinson Street, Portland Street, Oxford Street. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate crane operations. It is expected that the works will be in progress between 26th & 27th September 2026 with back-up dates of 3rd & 4th October 2026. The order shall come into operation on 26th September 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.

MCC 151501264: The City of Manchester (Angel Street, Piccadilly Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic & No Waiting, No Loading) Order 2026 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Angel Street at its junction with Dantzic Street. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Dantzic Street, Collyhurst Road, Smedley Road, Queens Road, Rochdale Road, Addington Street, Oldham Road & Dantzic Street, Red Bank, Lord Street, Cheetham Hill Road, Ring Road. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate crane operations. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 27th September 2026 between the hours of 10:00 and16:00 with a back-up date of 18th October 2026. The order shall come into operation on 27th September 2026 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
